Keychron

Keychron started with the K1, a slim wireless keyboard it crowdfunded under the name Keytron in 2018. That name couldn't be registered as a US trademark, so the company became Keychron in early 2019, just as the K2 arrived with keycaps for both Mac and Windows in the box. The K series stayed the wireless line, mostly plastic and light enough to carry. In August 2021 Keychron shipped the Q1, its first QMK keyboard, a CNC-machined aluminum 75% with a gasket-mounted plate, hot-swap sockets and screw-in stabilizers. The Q2 through Q11 followed in other sizes and layouts. The V series, from 2022, put the same QMK and hot-swap features in a plastic tray-mount case. Later generations added Bluetooth (Pro), a 2.4 GHz dongle (Max) and magnetic switches (HE), and they often share a case shape, so read the full model name in a listing. A Q1, a Q1 Pro and a Q1 Max look almost identical.
