The V4 is the smallest of Keychron's original V-series, a 60% board Keychron called an entry-level custom keyboard when it went on sale in 2022. A 60% has no function row, arrows or navigation keys, so you reach those on a layer, and QMK with VIA lets you put them wherever you like. The rest matches its bigger siblings. It has an ABS case on a tray mount, a steel plate, screw-in stabilizers, an acoustic silicone pad, south-facing RGB and hot-swap sockets for 3- and 5-pin MX switches. Keychron lists an assembled board at about 730 g. Fully assembled V4s came with Keychron K Pro switches and double-shot OSA PBT keycaps, and there was a barebone kit too. Unlike the V1 to V3, there's no knob version. It's wired only over USB-C, and the later V4 Max adds wireless.

Sold fully assembled or barebone in translucent Frosted Black or Carbon Black. Unlike the V1, V2 and V3, the V4 never had a knob option. ISO boards came with shine-through ABS keycaps. The V4 Max is the later wireless version, and the Q4 is the aluminum sibling.
Hot-swap means a used V4 may have different switches or keycaps than stock, and a switch pushed in crooked can leave a key dead. A double-typing key usually just needs a known-good switch, which is where Keychron's own troubleshooting starts.
