The Q4 is the 60% of the first Q wave, a 61-key board with no function row or arrow keys, so you reach those on a layer. Keychron listed it in April 2022. It's built like its bigger siblings, with a CNC-machined aluminum case, a gasket-mounted steel plate, silicone pads between the top and bottom case, south-facing RGB and hot-swap sockets for 3- and 5-pin MX switches. At about 1.5 kg it's far heavier than the plastic 60% boards it sits next to on a desk. Fully assembled ones came with pre-lubed Gateron G Pro red, blue or brown switches and OSA-profile doubleshot PBT caps. It has no knob option. With QMK and VIA you can put the arrows and function keys wherever your fingers want them, which is most of the fun of a 60%.

Versions
There's no knob version. Keychron changed the RGB driver during production, from two chips on Version 1 to one on Version 2, and QMK builds separate firmware for each, so check which you have before you flash it. Keychron's pages and QMK list only ANSI and ISO models, and we found no HHKB-layout Q4. The Q4 Pro is the Bluetooth version.
Expect a used Q4 to have been tinkered with, since 60% boards often get new caps and switches. The two production versions use different RGB driver setups and take different firmware files, so match the file to the board if you ever reflash it.
