The Q5 Pro is the wireless version of the 96% Q5, listed by Keychron in May 2023. It keeps the compact layout with a full number pad and the arrows tucked in beside it, plus a knob in the top-right corner. To the aluminum, double-gasket case it adds Bluetooth 5.1 to three devices and a 4000 mAh battery rated for up to 300 hours with the lights off, polling at 1000 Hz on the cable and 90 Hz over Bluetooth. Inside are the Pro-line parts, a polycarbonate plate, pre-lubed Keychron K Pro switches in red, brown or banana, and KSA-profile doubleshot PBT caps. A built one weighs about 2.2 kg. It's a good fit if you want a number pad on a wireless board without the width of a full-size.

Versions
Every Q5 Pro has a knob, and there was a purple special edition. The ISO collection followed in late 2023. The wired Q5 has a steel plate, OSA caps and Gateron switches, while the Pro has a polycarbonate plate, KSA caps, Keychron K Pro switches and a Bluetooth/Cable toggle. The Q5 Max adds a 2.4 GHz dongle.
Check the battery, which is the one part that wears out on its own. The 96% layout uses odd-sized caps around the arrows and number pad, so make sure they're all there.

The Q5 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery that Keychron rates for up to 300 hours with the lights off, so ask how long a charge lasts now and for a short video of it typing over Bluetooth with the cable out. Every Q5 Pro is hot-swap and several here carry aftermarket switches, so ask which are fitted and check the photos for all the odd-sized caps around the arrows and number pad. The $107 barebone has no switches or caps, so only buy it if you have both.
