The VA108M is the full-size version of Varmilo's classic board, and the extra four keys are the giveaway. Above the number pad sit dedicated keys for the calculator, mail, music and My Computer, on top of a standard 104-key layout. The rest matches the VA87M. You get Cherry MX switches on a metal plate, an ABS case, thick dye-sub PBT caps and themed art, from Jasmine and Moonlight to Sakura with pink LEDs and Beijing Opera. There's no software. Varmilo's Fn shortcuts handle Mac mode, the Windows key lock and swapping Caps Lock with Ctrl. A full set of themed caps for a 108-key board is a lot of printed plastic, and that art is the main reason to buy one. The V2 refresh, the VEA108, brought a standard USB-C cable and quieter insides. Pick the theme first, then make sure the switch is one you like, because it's soldered.

Versions
108 keys means a standard 104-key layout plus four media keys above the number pad. The V2 version is the VEA108, with a standard USB-C cable, a two-step kickstand, cable channels and silicone pads inside, and the VED108 is the Bluetooth V2. MA108M, VEM108 and VPM108 boards look alike but use Varmilo EC switches. Retailers listed Cherry MX Speed Silver, Clear and Silent Black alongside Red, Brown, Blue, Black and Silent Red.
Switches are soldered, so a chattering key means a repair. Missing or swapped novelty keys, especially the four media keys and the space bar, hurt a themed board's value most.

Buying guide
We'd buy the Koi at $60 delivered from a 99.9% US seller, shown in its box with the clear dust cover, since it's the cheapest full-size board here by a wide margin. There are at least 4 VA108Ms for sale, too few for the $85–290 band to be a market read, and asks run $60 to $480 delivered, with an open-box Panda and a custom build at the top. The switches are soldered, so ask which Cherry MX color a board has when the title doesn't say, ask for a keyboardtester.com video with every key pressed, and check in the photos that the four media keys above the number pad are there. Skip the custom Moonlight at $480 delivered, about three times the $157 median, since most of that is someone else's switch swap.
