The full-size Majestouch 2 is Diatec's Cherry MX keyboard in its plainest form. It has 104 keys on the US version, a heavy plastic case, a fixed cable and nothing to install. For the second generation Diatec designed a new double-layer PCB with each switch soldered through and mounted on a metal plate, and gave it full N-key rollover over PS/2, with six keys at a time over USB. It came with Brown, Blue, Black and Red switches, later a Silent version, in US, ISO and JIS layouts, and in special finishes like red, white, yellow-capped and camouflage. Costar in Taiwan built most Majestouch boards for Diatec. The Ninja edition prints every legend on the front of the caps and drops the lock lights, which Diatec aimed at touch typists tired of worn letters. The Majestouch 3 that followed kept this case and moved to doubleshot PBT caps.
The US board is FKBN104, ISO boards are FKBN105 and JIS boards are FKBN108, with the switch in the letters after the M (none for Brown, C for Blue, L for Black, RL for Red, PS for Silent). The Ninja, with an F before the color code, prints every legend on the front of the caps. The later Majestouch 2SC and 2SS are full-size versions with doubleshot PBT caps, and the 2SS uses Cherry MX Speed Silver switches. The first Majestouch has a silver or gold badge, the Majestouch 2 a dark silver one, and the Majestouch 3 has doubleshot PBT caps and full rollover over USB.
What to check
The standard pad-printed ABS caps go shiny and the legends on the busiest keys can fade, which is the reason Diatec gave for the Ninja. The cable is fixed, so a damaged cord isn't a quick swap.
01Model number: Read the label on the underside in the photos. FKBN104 is the US board, and the letters after the M give the switch.
02Legends: Look at WASD, the space bar and the home row in the photos. Printed legends should still be readable, and a shiny surface is normal on ABS.
03Cable: Look at the cable along its length and where it enters the case in the photos. It's fixed, so it should have no cuts, kinks or tape.
04Long keys: Ask for a short video tapping the space bar, both Enter keys and the number pad 0 and plus. Each should come back evenly without a loud rattle.
05Chatter: Ask the seller for a typing test video at keyboardtester.com or similar. Every key should register once, number pad included.
06PS/2 adapter: Ask whether the PS/2 adapter is included. Full N-key rollover on this board only works over PS/2.

Buying guide
Which one to buy
§ Oct 14, 2026
We'd buy the black board with Cherry MX Brown under custom keycaps at $83 delivered, about half the $151 median, once the seller sends a typing test. There are at least 15 listed, most at $110–200 delivered, with US private sellers asking $66–145 and Japan dealers adding $35–60 shipping. The label code tells you what you're getting, since FKBN104 is the 104-key US board, FKBN108 is JIS with Japanese legends and a short space bar, an F before the color code means a Ninja with front-printed legends, and the letters after the M give the switch (C for Blue, RL for Red). The switches are soldered and the cable is fixed, so ask for a typing test video that covers the number pad, and check the photos for cord damage and shine on the ABS caps. Full N-key rollover only works over PS/2, so ask whether the adapter comes with it.

The lowest ask on a complete board, a US 104-key with Cherry MX Blue at $66 delivered, and the photo shows the cable. Blues are loud and clicky, and on a soldered board you keep them, so make sure that's the feel you want.
Filco Majestouch 2 Mechanical Keyboard 104-Key / USB / Cherry Blue Switches

Filco Majestouch 2 Black Mechanical Keyboard Cherry Brown MX Custom Keycap
Titled tested and shown with its cable, at $151 delivered, right at the median. JP in the title usually means a JIS layout with Japanese legends and a short space bar, so it suits a buyer who's fine with that.
