The Majestouch 2 Tenkeyless is Filco's classic Cherry MX board with the number pad cut off. Diatec kept the look of the first Majestouch and rebuilt the inside, with a new double-layer PCB that has every switch soldered through and mounted to a metal plate. The US version has 87 keys, weighs 980 g and has no software, no lighting and no DIP switches. It reports every key at once over PS/2 with the adapter from the box, and six at a time over USB. The cable is fixed. It was sold with Brown, Blue, Black and Red switches, later a Silent version, and in US, ISO and JIS layouts, plus yellow, white and camouflage editions. Keycaps are pad-printed ABS. The Ninja edition moves every legend to the front face of the caps, so the board looks blank from above, and drops the lock lights to match.
Model numbers on the label tell you most of it. FKBN87 is the 87-key US board, FKBN88 is ISO and FKBN91 is JIS, and the letters after the M give the switch (none for Brown, C for Blue, L for Black, RL for Red, PS for the Silent version). An F before the color code, as in FKBN87M/EFB2, means the Ninja with front-printed legends. The trailing 2 means Majestouch 2. The Majestouch 3 Tenkeyless keeps the case with doubleshot PBT caps, and the Convertible 2 Tenkeyless adds Bluetooth.
What to check
The pad-printed ABS keycaps go shiny with use. The cable is fixed, so a damaged cord isn't a quick swap.
01Model number: Read the label on the underside in the photos. FKBN87 is the US tenkeyless, and the letters after the M give the switch.
02Keycap shine: Look at the space bar and home row in the photos with light on them. Some shine is normal on ABS, and faded legends mean heavy use.
03Cable: Look at the cable where it leaves the case in the photos. It's fixed, so it should have no kinks, splits or tape.
04Stabilizers: Ask for a short video tapping the space bar, Enter and both Shift keys. They should come back evenly without a loud rattle.
05Chatter: Ask the seller for a typing test video at keyboardtester.com or similar. Every key should register once per press.
06Ninja: If the title says Ninja, check the photos for legends on the front faces of the caps. Missing lock lights are normal on a Ninja.

Buying guide
Which one to buy
§ Oct 14, 2026
We'd buy the Ninja titled FKBN87M/EFB2 at $108 delivered, a little under the $115 median, because that code makes it the US 87-key board with Cherry MX Brown, and the photo shows the box. There are at least 13 listed, most at $95–150 delivered, with most US private sellers at $77–108 and Japan dealers adding $40–47 shipping. The label code settles layout and switch, since FKBN87 is US, FKBN91 is JIS with Japanese legends and a short space bar, and the letters after the M give the switch. The cable is fixed and the caps are ABS, so check the photos for kinks where the cord leaves the case and for shine on the space bar, and ask for a typing test video, since a chattering switch here is soldered in. Skip the three sellers with zero or 95.5% feedback unless the item page shows a track record.
