The Micro82 is NIZ's 75% board, 82 keys with a function row and arrows in a case about 31cm wide, sold in USB-only and Bluetooth versions. NIZ built it on a galvanized plate with an improved PCB, and the switches are its own electro-capacitive design, a slider on a rubber dome over a spring, close in feel to Topre. The stems are MX-style, so Cherry-compatible keycaps fit. You can choose 35g or 45g domes and add the included 10g or 20g springs to stiffen single keys. There's also a Game version with a shallow 1.8mm actuation point and a scan rate NIZ quotes at up to 3000Hz, while the standard board offers 2.0, 2.5 or 3mm.
Detachable USB-C; Bluetooth versions also come with a NIZ USB receiver

Which NIZ Micro82 is it?
The Micro82 came in white or black, USB-only or Bluetooth, 35g or 45g, with or without RGB. A Game version has a fixed 1.8mm actuation point and a faster scan rate, while the standard board lets you pick 2.0, 2.5 or 3mm. The newer Micro82 Pro adds Bluetooth 5.2 and what NIZ calls an RT function. The 84-key Mini84 and Micro84 are different boards.
What to check
The Keyboard Company couldn't pair a NIZ board with an older Bluetooth adapter, which is where the included receiver helps. The Game version drops Mac support and most media keys, which catches out buyers expecting the standard board.
01Version: Ask the seller whether it's the standard, Pro or Game version, and its weight. The box or label should say, for example EC-Bluetooth 45g.
02Receiver: On a Bluetooth version, ask whether the NIZ USB receiver comes with it. It should be in the box.
03Chatter: Ask for a typing test at keyboardtester.com or similar. Every key should register once per press.
04Stabilizers: Ask for a video tapping the space bar, Enter, Backspace and Shifts. They should go down evenly without a loud rattle.
05Keycaps: Check the keycaps in the photos under light. PBT should stay matte, and non-NIZ caps mean they've been swapped.
New to used keyboards? How to check a used keyboard covers chatter, stabilizers, keycap shine and the rest in detail.
Buying guide
Which one to buy
§ Oct 14, 2026
Only five Micro82s are for sale, so the $175–612 delivered spread isn't a market read. We'd buy the Micro82EC wireless 35g at $175 with free shipping from a 100% US seller, less than half what the three Japan dealer boards ask at $410–612 with $120 shipping each. Ask whether it's the standard, Pro or Game version, since the Game version drops Mac support and most media keys, and whether the NIZ USB receiver comes with it. The switches are NIZ's electro-capacitive design, close to Topre in feel but with MX-style stems, so ask for a keyboardtester.com video with every key and a clip of the space bar, Enter and Shifts for rattle. The other US board, a USB-only 45g with extra keycap sets, asks about the same but comes from a zero-feedback seller, so check its history first.
